Dogs for Rehoming

Since Will came into our lives last year our lives have taken a different path.

We are now heavily involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of strays and abandoned dogs. Life is suddenly much more rewarding and that’s all thanks to Will.

I’m sure you appreciate that there are costs involved in doing this work and, whilst we love it beyond anything, we don’t have a bottomless purse.

For this reason, we intend to set up a small ‘charity’ in his name. Will is living in 7th heaven but there are many other dogs out there that need our help.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A SMALL AMOUNT TO HELP US CONTINUE THIS WORK, PLEASE CLICK – DONATE.

Please take a look at our current dogs we have on foster. Each one of them needs a forever home through no fault of their own.

SAVING ONE DOG WON’T CHANGE THE WORLD, BUT IT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THAT ONE DOG.

BOB and BANDIT – rehomed!

REHOMED.

Due to a tragic accident, these two little lads have found themselves without a mum.

Bob is a 5 year old collie x and Bandit is a 2 year old border terrier x. Both are castrated and up to date with their vaccinations.

They are a bonded pair, so we are looking to find a home where they can stay together.

SCAMP – rehomed!

Scamp

Scamp is the sweetest little 9 year old Jack Russell who has lived with the same elderly lady all her life. Her mum is now too ill to take care of her any more and has asked us if we can find her a similar kind of home to spend her days.

She is quite fit and agile and just loves to play ball. She would prefer a nice quiet home where she will continue to be the centre of attention. She will make someone a lovely affectionate companion.

SAFFY – Rehomed!

Staffy

We think this beautiful little girl is an ex breeding bitch that has been dumped. She was found on the top of a freezing more, emaciated yet still so loving and trusting.

She has put lots of weight on whilst she has been with us and is now looking for that special someone. She is a happy and lively girl and may only be homed with older children.

MEG – Rehomed!

2015-02-10 14.06.32

Meg is a one year old lurcher who has been abandoned. Her 7 days are now up and no-one has come forward to claim her.

She is an absolute sweetheart, very loving and loyal. She walks well on the lead and has recently had her tail removed because of a severe trauma.

Is there anyone out there who can provide a little comfort and warmth for this gorgeous girl?

DAISY – Reunited!

2015-02-07 13.35.17

Daisy is an 8 year old Akita. She was rescued half an hour from being put to sleep and inappropriately homed with an elderly lady. Although she was well loved and looked after, she finds herself looking for a new home after her owner was hospitalised.

She is a very sweet, cuddly girl and still has a lot of energy and playfulness. She will need to be homed in a no pet household as she has an issue over food guarding and will need firm handling from someone who has experience of large breeds.

UPDATE: We’re so happy to report that Daisy’s original owner has tracked her down and is now reunited with her. We knew there was a reason that she had been here so long. Happy and proud that we didn’t give up on this lovely old girl.

SUMMER – rehomed!

2014-12-09 10.33.22

Summer is the sweetest little staffy cross. She’s only 8 months old and has grown too much for her family. She is the size of an adult staffy already, so I guess she has something else in there – maybe boxer?

Whatever she is, she’s adorable, very loving and sociable. She has come from a family with 3 small boys. I have seen her in her old home and have witnessed how patient she is with children!

She’ll obviously need some further training but she is already a joy to have around.

Single dog home only.

JACK  – rehomed

2015-01-15 13.07.59

Jack’s story is a very sad one.

His daddy died at home recently and he is bereaved. He’s about 13 years old and a little confused because he doesn’t know where his daddy has gone…

Can you offer him a stable home in which to spend his last years?

People need to appreciate the enormous privilege it is to be the human companion of an elderly animal. Please consider Jack.

SAM

SAM HAS NOW GONE TO HIS FOREVER HOME!

SAM

This little boy was found wandering the streets. He’s a young adult whippet/lurcher, quite emaciated and has lots of old scars and a few new bumps and scratches.

I don’t like to think what he’s been through but he’s safe and warm, now. We’re building up his strength and if he’s strong enough, he’ll be going for castration soon.

He’s a lovely gentle boy and gets on well with all our motley crew. He’ll make someone a lovely cuddly companion.

NELSON

2014-12-22 14.13.09

HAPPY ENDING FOR NELSON. HE’S BEEN SNAPPED UP!

This beautiful and distinctive boy was found near Grassington and has not been claimed.

He is a young lurcher with a fantastic temperament, good with dogs, cats and, although a little wary of human beings, he is getting better every day.

As with all lurchers, all he needs is food, warmth, cuddles and, of course, a comfy sofa.

Can you give this to him?
